Sustainability Is Not Just About Looking After The Earth

Sustainability Is Not Just About Looking After The Earth

Sustainability is not just about looking after the earth.
Self-care is equally as important, as without self-care, you won’t be in a fit state to look after the earth.

Tips on how to exemplify sustainability.

Be responsible for your health of my body.
Find nourishing foods that sustain your health.
Grow a garden.
Support local growers.
Choose organic foods when possible.

Take good care of your mind.
Find nutritious mental foods.
Feed yourself only that which nourishes your mind.
Unplug from time wasting electronic devices.
Detach from toxic people.

Participate in soul-enriching activities.
Get better at meditating.
Do yoga, tai chi, chi gong, or ecstatic dancing.

Find ways to express your creativity.
Dance in the moonlight.
Sing to the sun.
Play in the waves.
Let life wash over you in the shower.

After filling up your own cup, I do your part to create uplifting relationships with your partner, family, and friends.

Devote time to community projects that help sustain the Earth.

Think globally and act locally.
Get involved with community gardens.
Find local distributors of “ugly foods” that would just get thrown out.

Be an avid recycler.
Reuse whenever possible.
Reduce your desire to over-consume.
Give extra clothes to those in need.
Repurpose old items into art.
Get involved with clean-up clubs.

Today, by demonstrating sustainability, serve as an example for others and spread sustainability to the World.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. What am I doing to sustain my body? Mind? Spirit?
2. What am I doing to sustain my relationships?
3. What am I doing to sustain the Earth?

Take care of you, so you can take care of the Earth. X
